EnCalcLU Version 2.4 Released

JSutils water use and prediction calculator EnCalcLU has been updated so the results log now shows unit costs plus fixed a bug where fixed charges incorrectly calculated for periods under one month. EnCalcLU calculates the cost of water use, allowing both the real cost based on meter readings and forward prediction based on the readings and elapsed time to be calculated. The results can be saved to a log file for later analysis. The program can cope with both water and sewage volume charges, varying tax rates and discounts plus fixed charges enabling most charging models to be handled.

AllOff Lite Version 2.5 Released

JSutils has just updated computer activity monitor and shutdown utility AllOff Lite. Minor update to update help and correct an incorrect log file reference in the missing log file error message.AllOff Lite monitors the mouse, keyboard and CPU load and initiates computer power off if there has been no keyboard or mouse activity for 900 seconds and the average CPU load has been below 15% for over 60 seconds. Uses of ALLoff Lite include unattended backup (shutting down the computer when the backup has completed) and shutting down a computer if the user forgets. It can be started via the Windows Task Scheduler, on start up or manually. AllOff Lite is a great little utility for saving energy by making sure a computer shuts down when not needed.

EnCalcGU Version 2.1 Released

JSutils gas use and prediction calculator EnCalcGU has been updated to optionally work in months and add a facility to clear the results log file. See history for more details. EnCalcGU calculates the cost of gas, allowing both the real cost based on meter readings and forward prediction based on the readings and elapsed time. The results can be saved to a log file for later analysis. The program can cope with different charging rates for gas based on a preset threshold, different calorific values/correction factors, imperial and metric meters, varying tax rates plus fixed charges and discounts enabling most charging models to be handled. It will also calculate the amount of CO2 generated.
