JSutils has just released an update to download monitor and shutdown utility DownOff to add the option to archive and clear the log file plus fix a crash bug. See history for details. DownOff monitors the average download rate and initiates computer shutdown if the download rate has been below a specified percentage for a preset time. It can also be used to shutdown a remote computer. DownOff supports all the normal shut down modes.
JSutils oil use, cost and prediction calculator EnCalcOU has been updated to add the facility to clear the results log file and add a warning message when costs are not being calculated. EnCalcOU calculates the cost of oil, allowing both the real cost based on tank readings and forward prediction based on the readings and elapsed time. The results can be saved to a log file for later analysis. The program can cope with different shaped tanks, work in volume or depth of oil, varying tax rates plus fixed charges enabling most charging models to be handled. It will also calculate the amount of CO2 generated and predict when the tanks next need filling.
