Download and shutdown utility DownOff is going to be destandardised during the second half of 2010. It is planned to incorporate the functionality into AllOff. The program will still be available for download from the archive area. DownOff monitors the average download rate and initiates computer shutdown if the download rate has been below a specified percentage for a preset time. It can also be used to shutdown a remote computer. DownOff supports all the normal shut down modes.

JSutils has released an update to water cost comparison calculator EnCalcL to show water use as well as cost plus a number of minor bug fixes. See history for more details. EnCalcL calculates the real cost of purchasing and running water using appliances, allowing items to be compared under the same or different conditions, or the true cost of one item to be worked out simply. The results which can include annual inflation can be saved to a log file for later analysis. Variables such as water use, number of uses per day and investment cost can be independently varied for 2 items for specified payback times and water cost to work out the true total cost and water use.

JSutils has released an update to network monitor and shutdown utility LANOff to add the option to archive and clear the log file plus fix a few bugs. See history for details. LANOff monitors network connections and optionally initiates computer shutdown if the network connection to specified computers is lost. LANOff supports all the normal shut down modes. LanOff is part of the JSutils group of software utilities which have a theme of energy conservation.

JSutils water use and prediction calculator EnCalcLU has been updated to fix a number of minor bugs. See history for details. EnCalcLU calculates the cost of water use, allowing both the real cost based on meter readings and forward prediction based on the readings and elapsed time to be calculated. The results can be saved to a log file for later analysis. The program can cope with both water and sewage volume charges, varying tax rates and discounts plus fixed charges enabling most charging models to be handled.
