JSutils has just successfully completed compatibility testing of DownOff, a computer file transfer/download monitor and shutdown utility, with Windows 7 and Windows Vista Service Pack 2. Over the next week we will be completing compatibility testing with the other JSutils programs.

JSutils has just released an update to DownOff. The Installer and executable are now digitally signed plus help has been updated. DownOff monitors the average download rate and initiates computer shutdown if the download rate has been below a specified percentage for a preset time. It can also be used to shutdown a remote computer. DownOff supports all the normal shut down modes. Uses of DownOff include managing large file downloads from the internet (either HTTP or FTP) and large file transfers over a network, shutting down the computer when the download has completed. It can be started via the Windows Task Scheduler, on start up or manually at the same time as a download is initiated.

JSutils has just released an update to DownOff a shut down utility which detects file transfer or download rate and requires minimal configuration. This update includes some minor fixes and changes amongst which is a fix for an install bug which means the configuration file is always overwritten on upgrade or re-installation.
