New Programs & Program Updates Coming Soon
EnCalcEU Version 5.0 - Coming April 2010
The update to this electricity use and prediction calculator includes the ability to work in months as well as quarters plus the results log file can now be cleared without archiving it. Also included is the ability to handle percentage discounts and a number of bug fixes. EnCalcEU calculates the cost of electricity, allowing both the real cost based on meter readings and forward prediction based on the readings and elapsed time. The results can be saved to a log file for later analysis. The program can cope with different charging rates for electricity at different times of the day, alternative rates based on fixed or daily thresholds, varying tax rates plus fixed charges and discounts enabling most charging models to be handled. It will also calculate the amount of CO2 generated.
AllOff Version 3.4 -Coming April/May 2010
The slave part of this shutdown utility is being enhanced to display keyboard, mouse and CPU activity plus there are a number of minor bug fixes. AllOff monitors the mouse, keyboard and CPU load and initiates computer shutdown if there has been no keyboard or mouse activity and the average CPU load has been below the threshold set for the specified time. AllOff supports all the normal shut down modes. It can also be used to control a remote computer. Uses of AllOff include unattended backup (shutting down the computer when the backup has completed) and shutting down a computer if the user forgets. It can be started at a fixed time, on start up or manually
EnCalcOU Version 1.5 - Coming May 2010
This oil use and bill calculator is being enhanced by adding the ability to clear the log file plus there are a number of moinor bug fixes. EnCalcOU calculates the cost of oil, allowing both the real cost based on tank readings and forward prediction based on the readings and elapsed time. The results can be saved to a log file for later analysis. The program can cope with different shaped tanks, work in volume or depth of oil, varying tax rates plus fixed charges enabling most charging models to be handled. It will also calculate the amount of CO2 generated and predict when the tanks next need filling
EnCalcGU Version 3.0 - Coming May 2010
The update to this gas use and prediction calculator includes the ability to work in months as well as quarters plus the results log file can now be cleared without archiving it. Also included is the ability to handle percentage discounts and a number of bug fixes. EnCalcGU calculates the cost of gas, allowing both the real cost based on meter readings and forward prediction based on the readings and elapsed time. The results can be saved to a log file for later analysis. The program can cope with different charging rates for gas based on a preset threshold, different calorific values/correction factors, imperial and metric meters, varying tax rates plus fixed charges and discounts enabling most charging models to be handled. It will also calculate the amount of CO2 generated.
Programs Released Over The Last Month Or So
EnCalcGU Version 2.1 - Released 8th March 2010

AllOff Light Version 2.5 - Released 16th March 2010
The minor update to this shutdown utility updates help and corrects an incorrect log file reference in the missing log file error message. AllOff Lite monitors the mouse, keyboard and CPU load and initiates computer power off if there has been no keyboard or mouse activity for 900 seconds and the average CPU load has been below 15% for over 60 seconds. Uses of ALLoff Lite include unattended backup (shutting down the computer when the backup has completed) and shutting down a computer if the user forgets. It can be started via the Windows Task Scheduler, on start up or manually.
EnCalcLU Version 2.4 - Released 31st March 2010
This water use and prediction calculator has been updated so the results log shows unit costs. Fixed a bug where fixed charges were incorrectly calculated for periods under one month. EnCalcLU calculates the cost of water use, allowing both the real cost based on meter readings and forward prediction based on the readings and elapsed time to be calculated. The results can be saved to a log file for later analysis. The program can cope with both water and sewage volume charges, varying tax rates and discounts plus fixed charges enabling most charging models to be handled.
EnCalcL Version 3.5 - Released 7th April 2010
Water use and cost comparison calculator EnCalcL has been updated to fix a bug where unit costs not saved to log for the first calculation after starting the program. Added check for missing results log file on Archive. EnCalcL calculates the real cost of purchasing and running water using appliances, allowing items to be compared under the same or different conditions, or the true cost of one item to be worked out simply. The results which can include annual inflation can be saved to a log file for later analysis. Variables such as water use, number of uses per day and investment cost can be independently varied for 2 items for specified payback times and water cost to work out the true total cost.
EnCalcE Version 4.4 - Released 14th April 2010
Electricity use and cost comparison calculator EnCalcE has been updated to add the option to clear the log file and fix a bug where currency symbols are not updated correctly when changed. EnCalcE calculates the cost of purchasing and running electrical appliances, allowing 2 alternative items to be compared under the same running conditions, this includes the difference in CO2 generation and allows for annual inflation. The results can be saved to a log file for later analysis.
