Welcome to the world of computer energy saving and energy calculation software from JSutils. If you have a suggestion about enhancements or additional functionality for our programs or even an idea for a new program related to energy saving then please feel free to contact us.

The holiday season is upon us so releases will not be so frequent over the next months or so.

New Programs & Program Updates Coming Soon

EnCalcOU Version 1.6 - Coming August 2010
The update to this gas use and prediction calculator EnCalcOU is a tidy up exercise to fix a number of minor bugs and bring it into line with EnCalcEU & EnCalcGU. EnCalcOU calculates the cost of oil, allowing both the real cost based on tank readings and forward prediction based on the readings and elapsed time. The results can be saved to a log file for later analysis. The program can cope with different shaped tanks, work in volume or depth of oil, varying tax rates plus fixed charges enabling most charging models to be handled. It will also calculate the amount of CO2 generated and predict when the tanks next need fillin.

EnCalcLU Version 2.5 - Coming August/September 2010
The update to this water use and prediction calculator EnCalcLU is a tidy up exercise to fix a number of minor bugs and bring it into line with EnCalcEU & EnCalcGUEnCalcLU calculates the cost of water use, allowing both the real cost based on meter readings and forward prediction based on the readings and elapsed time to be calculated. The results can be saved to a log file for later analysis. The program can cope with both water and sewage volume charges, varying tax rates and discounts plus fixed charges enabling most charging models to be handled.

Also planned are minor updates to AllOff and AllOff lite - AllOff was not released in July as planned due to a bug found in testing..

Programs Released Over The Last Month Or So

EnCalcEU Version 5.1 - Released 6th July 2010
This update to electricity bill, use and prediction calculator EnCalcEU includes a number of minor changesv to improve usability and fix bugs. See history for details. EnCalcEU calculates the cost of electricity, allowing both the real cost based on meter readings and forward prediction based on the readings and elapsed time. The results can be saved to a log file for later analysis. The program can cope with different charging rates for electricity at different times of the day, alternative rates based on fixed or daily thresholds, varying tax rates plus fixed charges and discounts enabling most charging models to be handled. It will also calculate the cost and units of electricity used plus the amount of CO2 generated.

EnCalcGU Version 3.0 - Released 1st July 2010
Gas bill, use and prediction calculator EnCalcGU  now has an updated results section, handles percentage discounts and shows cost per day plus a number of other changes.. See history for details. EnCalcGU calculates the cost of gas, allowing both the real cost based on meter readings and forward prediction based on the readings and elapsed time. The results can be saved to a rsults log and a history log file for later analysis. The program can cope with different charging rates for gas based on a preset threshold, different calorific values/correction factors, imperial and metric meters, varying tax rates plus fixed charges and discounts enabling most charging models to be handled. It will also calculate the amount of CO2 generated.

EnCalcL Version 3.6 - Released 17th June 2010
Water cost comparison calculator EnCalcL has been updated to show water use as well as cost plus a number of minor bug fixes. See history for more details. EnCalcL calculates the real cost of purchasing and running water using appliances, allowing items to be compared under the same or different conditions, or the true cost of one item to be worked out simply. The results which can include annual inflation can be saved to a log file for later analysis. Variables such as water use, number of uses per day and investment cost can be independently varied for 2 items for specified payback times and water cost to work out the true total cost and water use.

Programs Destandardisation News

DownOff To Be Phased Out
Download and shutdown utility DownOff is going to be destandardised during the second half of 2010. It is planned to incorporate the functionality into AllOff. The program will still be available for download from the archive area for the foreseeable future. DownOff monitors the average download rate and initiates computer shutdown if the download rate has been below a specified percentage for a preset time. It can also be used to shutdown a remote computer. DownOff supports all the normal shut down modes. Uses of DownOff include managing large file downloads from the internet (either HTTP or FTP) and large file transfers over a network, shutting down the computer when the download has completed. It can be started via the Windows Task Scheduler, on start up or manually at the same time as a download is initiated.
